SimTech is currently seeking a Computer Scientist to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). The TEWD’s purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing and evaluation. The Computer Scientist will provide software documentation and configuration management in support of EW simulation experiments. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required.
Minimum Required Skills
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation concepts, high speed interfaces and computer-based data acquisition systems required, fiber optics reflective memory networks including VMIC and/or SCRAMNet, software documentation and configuration management, developing routines, modules or classes for software programs in a team environment, using Microsoft Office applications to document work products for long term support and configuration management.
BS, Computer Science
Two years of experience (or a Master’s Degree) in computer-based modeling and simulation using a mix of languages/environments/operating systems including C, C++, Visual C, FORTRAN, MATLAB, Visual Basic, LabView, LabWindows/CVI, Microsoft.NET, Microsoft Windows, VxWorks and Linux required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
