Research Scientist

Job Description

SimTech is currently seeking a Research Scientist to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). The TEWD’s purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing, and evaluation. The Research Scientist will provide support of advanced RF sensors and/or systems, as well as digital signal processing techniques. The ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required

Requirements

Minimum Required Skills

Experience with the application of the scientific method in the research and development environment, proposal writing and scientific communication (written and oral) familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) techniques; including coherent processing (Doppler, matched filters, etc.).


Degree Level

Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Aerodynamics/Applied Mathematics


Minimum Training

 


Minimum Qualifications

Five years of experience (or post-baccalaureate degree) with applied research in the domain of advanced RF sensors and/or Systems required.
