Computer Analyst with Network specialty The selected candidate will perform analysis of wide area and local network communications supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) test events. The candidate will report on baseline network performance and provide senior leaders with suggested modifications to ensure optimal network performance based upon test event objectives, architectures and participant data transmissions. The analyst will use simulation techniques to plan new systems or identify complications in existing ones. Develop Event Network Analysis Plans Coordinate network data capture activities. Develop Simulation Framework Communications. Plans Perform network protocol analysis to evaluate network performance. Develop network performance reports and briefings.The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
Minimum Required Skills
At least 4+ years of directly related technical experience. At least one of the following certifications: Network+, CCENT, CCNA, CCNP. Proficient in the use of network protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump. Familiar with the use and implementation of Network Emulation systems. Self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment, and works well within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic productivity software operations skills (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related field
Familiar with Missile Defense Agency classified and unclassified network topologies. Familiar with Single Stimulation Framework (SSF) or Objective Stimulation Framework (OSF) communications requirements. Experienced with Distributed Data Service (DDS) technologies, particularly OpenSplice. Familiar with BASH and/or Python scriptingand/or Python scripting
