SimTech is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). The TEWD’s purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing, and evaluation. The Software Engineer will support the NRL thought Development and maintenance of the EW simulations and components of the simulations. The Software Engineer shall design, construct and verify simulator control panels and software simulations. The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
Minimum Required Skills
Experience with fiber optic reflective, developing of drivers for unique hardware devices, developing standalone programs that interface with and/or control low level hardware via standard drivers, software documentation and configuration management, developing routines, module or classes for software programs in a team environment, Microsoft office applications to document work products for long term support and configuration management.
Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
Two years of experience (or a Master’s degree) in computer-based modeling and simulation using a mix of languages/environments/operating systems including C, C++, Visual C, FORTRAN, MATLAB, Visual Basic, LabView, LabWindows/CVI, Microsoft.NET, Microsoft Windows, VxWorks and Linux, as well as languages for special purpose processors such as DSPs required
