SimTech is seeking a Test Engineer for the SAIC Team in supporting the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) in maintaining an Institutional Conduct of Fire Trainer (ICOFT) testbed for the stability and sustainment of the THAAD ICOFT system. The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components. The ICOFT replicates the tactical system environment and supports training of the TFCC, Radar, and Launcher tactical software. Within the training environment, the ICOFT inserts faults and captures, records, grades, and plays back student input.
A Test Engineer is needed to support ICOFT requirements verification, performance analysis, and system level testing. This position will operate with other software and system test resources and equipment, support test analysis, system integration (HW/SW), user feedback, and the fielding process.
Duties and Responsibilities are as follows; Design and create test scripts. Provide traceability from requirement to technical specifications. Lead and execute testing events. Develop test plans. Develop test procedures for hardware and software testing. Document results of testing. Analyze and test execution of user and system interface functionality. Track issues to successful resolution.
Minimum Required Skills
Understanding of software test methodologies. Strong presentation and communication skills. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills. Experience using version control software. 10% Travel should be expected. Must possess an active secret clearance.
BS degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years related experience

Experience with THAAD or BMDS system architectures. Experience with Army Training.
