SimTech, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time RF Engineer in Huntsville, AL and/or Washington D.C to join our growing diverse and dynamic team.
Develop advanced RF/microwave system and subsystem hardware designs as part of RF Sensor and Seeker systems.
Perform analysis, prototyping and end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments
Perform lab testing of developed RF/microwave hardware. Utilize vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and anechoic chambers to complete analysis.
Perform analysis of measured data from laboratory and/or field testing of in-house develop hardware and systems. Compare expected performance or truth data to actual measured performance.
Ability to work in Washington D.C. for customer support as needed.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum 10 years demonstrated relevant experience required.
Demonstrated thorough understanding of RADAR systems, specifically as applied to missile seeker technology required.
Experience with coherent waveform modulations such as Linear-FM (LFM) chirps, Barker codes, BPSK, etc.
Experience with magnetron-based and solid-state amplifier transmitter systems.
Experience developing algorithms for Fast-Fourier Transform (FFT), Constant False-Alarm Rate (CFAR),
Reconstructing Range/Doppler maps from In-Phase/Quadrature stored data applications, etc.
Strong programming skills in C/C++/C# required.
Working knowledge of common software vulnerabilities and defenses
Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret requirements, data sets, reports, and specifications.
Ability to travel to Washington D.C. and other customer sites as needed.
U.S. Citizenship with Active Top Secret Security clearance, with Tier 5 background investigation required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
