SimTech, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time THAAD Interoperability Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join our growing diverse and dynamic team.
Provide engineering support to the Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Interoperability Section of the THAAD Evaluation Center (TEC).
Interface testing of the THAAD Weapon System Fire Control Component (TFCC) and its various subsystems.
Provide technical expertise to the THAAD Interoperability teams’ effort to test and certify TFCC software versions through the life cycle of the weapon system.
Support for this effort includes the testing activities associated with THAAD internal/developmental tests, preliminary testing of the Common Data Link Interface Module (CDLIM) software product in THAAD, the THAAD Army Service Level Test, US Army Interoperability tests, Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground and Flight test and the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Interoperability Tests of the TFCC Link 16 interface.
Duties include the operation of the TFCC, multiple data link simulation tools, analytical tools, analysis of collected Link 16 messages and the development of test documentation (test plans, test procedures and test reports).
Other responsibilities as assigned.
6 years demonstrated relevant experience supporting military weapons systems. Demonstrated relevant military experience may be considered in lieu of.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of THAAD or other defense weapon systems.
The candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to demonstrate effective technical and communication skills.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision; dynamic, highly motivated individual that can effectively demonstrate both technical and communication skills.
The position will include collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to produce products that are valuable to the customer.
U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
