Overview

Nominated as one the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Best Places to Work, Simulation Technologies, Inc. (SimTech) located in Huntsville, Alabama in the heart of Cummings Research Park has immediate openings for an ESI Scenario Developer to join our growing, dynamic team.

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will work within a team of software engineers, developers, and system analysts to generate scenarios in support of Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) interoperability and performance testing using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Digital Simulations.

Process large data sets in various formats using scripts and tools to convert the data for use within the framework software. Ability to translate system requirements into scenario configuration settings required.

Perform checkout and analysis of generated scenarios to verify that all requirements are met and that data inputs are correct.

Work with Configuration Management, test lab personnel, test conductors and Event Mission Managers (EMMs), and other MDA personnel to ensure the delivered product meets the customer’s needs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

10-20+ years relevant experience. Ability to work within a diverse group; initiative to complete large tasks independently within a compressed schedule.

Ability to work with or learn to use and operate a frame work to Process Input Data.

Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Microsoft Office Applications. Excellent organization skills needed to track multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Develop, troubleshoot, and execute test cases; analyze data. Prepare reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working with Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) required.

U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in all aspects of software engineering including software management, development, and testing Ability to write scripts or code using C++, R, Perl, Python and Java. Experience with data reduction and analysis tool such as MatLab preferred. U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret security clearance required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in Math, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics from an accredited institution. .
